Good Design essay

Vacuuming is annoying to have to do but people should do it because it keeps your house very clean and not full of bugs. The plug of a vacuum is most likely the most irritating thing to deal with. Switching from room to room the plug comes out of the wall or it can get stuck under a door or couch, so we have invented a bag less vacuum that runs on a battery, no more plugs! This vacuum is one of a kind. With no plug it makes it easier to move from room to room and it makes cleaning faster.

This vacuum is not heavy at all, it is very light.  The vacuum is bag less which makes it easy to clean out the dust that gets collected.  It also comes in three vibrant colors: pink, purple, or blue.  Instead of having one big vacuum this vacuum can break down into two smaller sizes for those hard to reach places like stairs, a ceiling fan, or in between a little spaces like the couch this vacuum breaks down so that it is possible to get to hard to reach spaces.

Since the vacuum doesn’t have a plug that goes into the wall it just runs on battery.  The vacuum can run on battery for up to three hours before having to be recharged.  Right on the vacuum there is a little picture of the battery life right next to the power button and it will beep when the battery life is running too short.  Recharging the battery is so simple!  The vacuum comes with a little stand that the vacuum just sits on and it will charge the vacuum.  It doesn’t even matter if the vacuum still has a lot of battery life left just set the vacuum on the charging stand when it is not being used so your vacuum will always stay charged and ready to be used.

Last but not least the vacuum still does come with all the attachments like the brushes, a duster, and the attachment that extends the vacuum hose making it easier to reach places.  There are three brushes that come with the vacuum; there is smaller one for smaller places like the bathroom or kitchen to get under the cabinets.  The medium brush can be used for little rugs in hall ways or for the steps, and the bigger brush can be used for any purpose that is desired.  A duster is also included with all the other attachments to dust hard to reach spots or in between the shades on the windows.  The hose extender comes with an extra extender so that it can be as long as needed to clean your home.

In conclusion, all around this vacuum is just so convient to use.  It makes all vacuuming jobs easier and less obnoxious so that you can get the job down within a matter of minutes.  With no plug and all the attachments there is nothing to get stuck under because of the plug and there is no place that can not be cleaned to keep your home fresh!  The vacuum is not heavy at all so it will be easier to transport it from the upstairs and downstairs and the vacuum will break down into two smaller parts so that it easier to clean stairs.  So why would you want the old vacuums that come with traditional plugs when you can just have a vacuum that runs on battery, brings down to two parts, and still has all the attachments needed?

Great Connection

December 16th, 2008 by ericawassum in Essay · Technology · elearning · 1 Comment

The most important technological invention worldwide was the invention of the cell phone. Back when telegraphs were invented, one could only send one telegraph message at a time making the cell phone more reliable to use. A cell phone helps friends and family around the world stay connected to each other just by one simple call.  Over the years, the cell phone has progressed and has become better, it is easier to use and it is possible to do just about anything on it.  There are so many reliable sources and connections to the cell phone to connect people to each other.  Finally, the cell phone is just a much faster way of communicating and staying in touch instead of a letter, email, etc.  With the way cell phones have been evolving today there is no doubt that in a few years they will be able to do anything you need them to do.

All around the world there are people trying to stay connected to family or friends over seas and when they want to talk to each other they have to send a letter that takes days to get to the other person, cell phones can fix that problem.  It’s as simple as picking up the phone and dialing the number.  It is much easier to talk to someone right then and there instead of writing out a letter, putting it in an envelope, sealing the envelope, getting stamps, and finally sending it, which will take a couple days to get it.  On the other hand there is emailing.  But just like a letter email, can take a few days to get read because it depends on if that person is online or on their email account at that time.  Using a cell phone to get in touch with someone is like a quick, one-minute thing.  There is no hassle on taking up too much time or the message not getting through the mail or web.  All in all, cell phones are just faster, easier, and less annoying.

Did you ever wish that you could check you email or myspace right on your phone?  Now it is possible to do so.  Cell phones have been upgraded so much that everything you need is right there.  Anytime you can get o n the internet on your phone to check your emails, myspace, facebook, etc.  On cell phones you can also take pictures and videos so you will never miss any memories!

Cell phones are a great accessory.  In the future they are only going to get better.  Soon telephones every where probably won’t get used because cell phones are just more reliable and faster to use.  Cell phones can do anything that is needed to be done.
